This is a nice, sturdy scale for measuring portions. It is over priced, however, compared to other scales.

Just bought this and am very pleased. I already own the Soehnle 66524 Futura Digital Food Scale, 11 Pounds Capacity. Have had it for over a year and use if quite often. Side by side the only difference is the platform. Do you want a bowl or do you want to measure into your own container? Either way this is a great product.

I purchased this with multiple uses in mind. Since it weighs items in .2 of ounce accuracy, has a deep bowl and looks like a million bucks on the butcher block I can weigh postal packages less than 11 pounds, measure ingredients for baking dynamite bread, cakes etc, measure food for portion control and finally look at it in my kitchen and see some eye candy. I love it!
